Cilea made this iris, and it shows — a sculptural resin bloom with yellow-green and amber striations laid in by hand, an orange-red textured centre, and the kind of presence that stops a room.
- Signed by Cilea on the copper pin bar — the French house whose workshop lineage runs back through Monique Védie, who made jewellery for Lanvin, Dior and Ungaro before retiring in 1992.
- Built the way the Cilea workshop still builds them: each petal individually cut, shaped and curved by hand from the workshop's own resin, the pigments applied layer by layer — a technique inherited from Line Vautrin.
- Three-dimensional iris or orchid form with ruffled upper petals and three rounded lower petals — genuinely sculptural, not flat.
- Wears well on a linen blazer lapel, a spring trench, or pinned to a wide-brimmed straw hat — big enough to carry the look on its own.
- At approximately 3 inches, this is a statement piece that earns its space.
